here is my conflict. as with all festivals, you have to accept that you cant see everyone you want. this however is to the extreme. on saturday of austin city limits they commit the mortal sin that is making me decide between

arctic monkeys or muse
and
arcade fire or the white stripes

now here is where it gets hairy. i like arctic monkeys and arcade fire better... but i have seen both of them live and have never seen muse or the white stripes live. all 4 of these bands are known for terrific live performances as well, woe is me!

although this being a problem is a GREAT situation... it is still a terrible problem. all i want to know is WHO THE **** DECIDED THESE TIMES

btw indielectronica ... that architecture in helsinki show would be awesome to go to

i'd suggest the oppossite - lol

seen them all before. The only band i'm that bothered about is Arcade Fire though it must be said - and they have the ability to be the best live group ever if they want to (saw them 2 years ago at Lowlands and was likely the best gig i've ever been too... and i've been to a few )

I pleases me to hear you say that, although I think I'm beginning to put way too much expectation on that gig.

I've never seen anyone twice, I think it's better the lad see bands he hasn't seen yet, especially The Stripes which was THE best show I've ever seen, granted I haven't seen many...

^But if giving the chance, WOULD you see a band twice or do you just have some kind of superstition thing where you're afraid they wouldnt be as great of a show?

If I had the chance, and if it were the Monkeys and Arcade fire, yes, I definitely would see them for the second time. But not if I had the chance to see other (really good) bands I've not seen before.
That said, I'd sell my mother to see The White Stripes again.

Everybody has to see The Go! Team on their current tour. I'll be damned if I don't catch them in Liverpool.
