There’s three I’d really like to see on Saturday night: Khruangbin, 100 Gecs and the excellent Sampa the Great.

Yeah, Khruangbin are about as bland as every other band out there that mixes '68-'75 era Thai funk,
Jamaican reggae, and Iranian pop with props to the funkiness of Stax and soulfulness of Philly Int'l. One of the things I learned from a lifetime of record store working, managing and owning is that it's easy to become one big record store pie where very few there want to cut the first slice. As for seeing 100 Gecs live? Sure, why the hell not? |

Looking forward to finally seeing Goose, and every other band in that line-up. Umphreys is always solid, Greensky so much yes, Disco Biscuits mmhmmm, Lettuce! **** yeah, and Sunsquabi? well slap me silly lets go! |
You're a War on Drugs fan Plank?
|
War On Drugs is pretty good. Their last album was solid.
As for me, I have Roger Waters in a month, followed by Ghost in the fall. I'm going to try to see Coheed and Cambria. That will be a tough ticket to get. |

Coheed can be hit/miss for me but they're a very talented bunch. We used to play Welcome Home in a cover band I was in. That was fun to play. |
I think Deeper Understanding is the band's best album to date.
I saw the band open for Jethro Tull once. My father was with me. He had never heard War on Drugs before. He told me that he ordered 3 albums the next day. |
I just found out I'm going to Steely Dan/Snarky Puppy for Pop's Day. Sweet.
Too bad Corey Henry isn't in the band anymore, but I'm sure they'll still rock Lingus. |
