I almost saw them with Jeff Rosenstock this month. Would've been awesome.

Awesome. Ska concerts are the absolute greatest I've conceded.

Saw Why? last night for the first time in Berkeley. My bandmates and I all went together, it was beautiful. Early anticon ish has been a big influence on our development throughout the years so it was really great to experience it together. I visibly creeped out Josiah Wolf. Also Open Mike Eagle opened the show and I have been sleeping on him, his set was tight.

Was here last week. Just getting over the huge number of concerts. Seemed like a nice progressive city where you could bump into musicians at various places (Carla Bley, Steve Swallow, Andy Sheppard at a single table by themselves in a Japanese restaurant or sitting with Bley and Swallow the next morning over breakfast or visiting with Philip Jeck at dinner another night, and so on). Musicians/artists seemed to be delighted and a bit surprised by the reception in a place like Knoxville, but two-thirds of the audience were from out-of-town. Good music, good food, good weather, and easy access to both the venues and the musicians made it a memorable event. Ready for next year.
