Decent lineup actually. Motorhead, Death, Lee Scratch Perry, Faith No More and Fishbone. Ice Cube and No Doubt are also very good live. I was surprised how good No Doubt was when they opened for another band I saw.

I got 2 three day passes from a friend that can't go, so I'll be there tonight for FNM and Motorhead. Too bad I already missed Death, and I don't think I'll get there in time for Living Colour, which would have been nice. The daughter gets the passes for tomorrow and Sunday.

Heard via the web that Lemmy is currently in bad health. Be surprised if they don't cancel. I saw Living Colour open for the Stones and GNR many moons ago. Vernon Reid is an amazing burner on guitar and Doug rules on Bass.

That looks like one of the best lineups I've seen for a festival in quite some time.

I'll have to remember to check the lineup for next year. Might have to take a trip out that way.

King Diamond with Exodus opening in December - KD will be playing the Abigail album in its entirety, missed the original tour in 87 and KD is one of my favorites I never saw way back in those days.

FNM was absolutely brilliant. I caught a bit of Anthrax's show too. Beautiful night in Chicago last night is all I can say.

Edit: Forgot the pics...

Spoiler for ...:

Jesus and Mary Chain at Terminal 5 tomorrow. Wondering if Pope Francis will drop by.

Scorpions/Queensryche this Saturday.
Here Come The Mummies on Friday of next week.

Seeing the Scorpions will be kind of a milestone, since they were my very first concert I went to back in 1983. A Tate-less Queensryche will be iffy at best. Mummies... they never disappoint.

Going to see Shelter tonight.

Ken Vandermark - Saxophone
Nate Wooley - Trumpet
Jasper Stadhouders - Guitar, Bass
Steve Heather - Drums

I've seen Vandermark a few years ago in a duo with Paal Nilssen-Love and it was mindblowing. Hope it's gonna be as fun today. I always wanted to see Nate Wooley live.
