So Jex Thoth.... music wise, sounded ****in fantastic. Her voice is totally the same as it sounds recorded and their guitar player still totally knows whats up.

But I gotta admit it was boring. If I were more stoned and totally in my own zone, it would have been great, but I was hoping for some loud excited fandom.

Agalloch on the other hand may have found a new fan in me. I suspect most people were there to see them, and all those acoustic intros with the energy was pretty awesome. Just wish their music was mainly instrumental, can't totally get on board with that dude's vocals.

Pics/video to follow when I get on my comp. Also Slayer, Clutch with Motorhead, possibly Judas Priest and possibly Boris in the next few months!

Edit: Totally!

When I saw Boris they played for ages. They must have simply refused to leave, because it was only a small venue and I've never seen another band there play anywhere near as late as they did. They were great.

Clutch with Motorhead? In the same show? That'll be great too! Slayer are kind of a shell of what they used to be but hell, it's still Slayer. And I'm hoping Judas Priest announce a full UK tour soon and play near me. I'm yet to see them live.

I'm actually not all that familiar with Boris, but hell, from what I've heard they're pretty awesome so I'll pay 20 bucks to see them live.

Also @Mojo yeah dude... Clutch and Motorhead. We usually don't see Clutch because they play in Grand Rapids, which is wayyyyy on the other side of the state from us, but definitely making an exception this time. I'm actually not all that excited for Slayer (with Exodus) but I dragged my boyfriend to Jex Thoth so I gotta go.

Judas Priest will hopefully play favorites, because although I haven't listened, I hear there's a newish album and it blows terribly.

Got a free weekend show coming up next month. I'm just going for the Sunday portion, mainly to see Dickey Betts, but I plan on getting there early enough to see the entire line-up.

when i saw Boris it was in support of the Pink album....they were incredible live....and basically did two sets....one of more conventional songs....and another of pure guitar drone....seriously worth the 20 bucks

Clutch and Motorhead huh.....damn you...damn you straight to hell
