Going to see Savoy Brown next week. After many lineup changes since forming in 1965, the band is now a power trio with Kim Simmonds (guitar, keyboards, harmonica and vocals), Pat DeSalvo (bass) and Garnet Grimm (drums.)

Tomorrow:

The guitarist from doom/psych band Bong pulls a double-shift, as his space rock jam band Haikai No Ku provide the support. Can't wait.

Do we have a "Concerts you just attended" thread?

I just saw Queens of the Stone Age last night at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn. It took forever getting there with the weather and I had to sit next to the smelliest homeless man I have ever smelled for a half hour but I got there. QOTSA played amazing. It was the first time seeing them and now I only have Tom Waits left on the list of bands I NEED to see before I die. They played a lot of stuff from their new album but did not play ...I Appear Missing which is the only bummer of the night. I noticed Joshua would comb his hair after every song. That mofo is sexy as sh*t.

Great night.

Going to see Bill Kirchen "The Titan of The Telecaster" when he brings his "Honky-Tonk Holiday Show" to my neck of the woods this Saturday.
Looking forward to hearing some twangy gee-tar played to perfection!

I just found out the The Rolling Stones are coming to Auckland in April!! I will try and get a ticket but they usually sell out on the first date the tickets are released. If I don't get to that I'll possibly go to Laneway again.

Edit: it's sold out, ****.

Yeah they sell out in less than 1/2 a day here. I'd love to see them! Hope you get a ticket.

I really want to go here next year, Industrial, Goth, Metal, Alternative and much more. Sounds ideal to me.
