I'm undecided about Friday night now. Was considering OFF at the Fonda Theater. Now i'm torn because Visual Discrimination is playing Unit B much closer to me. Decisions Decisions. |

Went and saw Visual Discrimination. I've seen OFF twice in the past year. That flyer is like any other punk rock flyer, visually as stimulating as a two year olds. Great show though, saw some guy get stabbed in the parking lot also, he was alright though, I called the police and they sent EMTS.

It started earlier at the skate ramp dealio. Some latino kids were smacking on a guy and he responded. Spilled out to the parking lot eventually and he took one in the ribs. Dudes ran when I said I was calling the pigs. Show was good, sure the venues gonna get black marked now though, hope not teenage angst has ruined alot of cool venues.

I was Lewis Black a few weeks back. He was pretty good, but he's not nearly as "angry" as he used to be. It was more like a lecture than a rant and it was a little boring at times. Still, he's one of the better comics working today.
I saw two local bands on Saturday. One is Cottage Jefferson and they're pretty good. But I was there for the opening act, Garden Fresh. They bill themselves as "Rochester's least offensive hip-hop duo" and are pretty much a comedy rap act. They rap about being polite, water, shoes, and weather. You know... some Biggie and 2pac type sh*t. They remind me of Weird Al, except they are not directly parodying songs. If it's something you might be into, (and you're expectations are reasonable ![]() Spoiler for Garden Fresh- Water:
In terms of concerts for the future, winter is pretty dead in terms of bigger bands coming up here. I'll have to wait until summer for something more noteworthy to come up. |

Honda Center: THE KILLERS
Bought two up front for my girls birthday on the presale because otherwise I wouldn't get em. Shes excited to see Brandon Flowers tight girl pants. I'm excited to see the band, I enjoy their simplistic pop. Kind of a growing hatred similar to the Coldplay/U2 angle but color me mainstream i'll deal with it. |
