Same here, I haven't got around to seeing them yet which is criminal really. Glad you enjoyed them RVCA.

I got them!!! Tickets to see the Foals next week in one of my favourite venues too. Cost me a bomb though. I ended up paying over £70 for a pair of tickets that would have only cost me £30 if I had known of them playing but well worth it. As I have posted before, my eldest son loves them and hasn't been to a gig yet so to take him to see the band as his first gig is something quite special for me especially as it's so close to the 1st anniversary of his mothers passing.

I was determined to get the tickets and knowing we will watch the band together seems like some sort of odd catharsis for us both (I hope). We will get drunk, dance around, forget ourselves for a couple of hours and hopefully have some great memories to fall back on.

Just got to see Jens Lekman! I haven't danced so much since... probably ever.
I'm not really a dancer.

Oh how I envy you people in the UK. Sure it might be filled with tribute bands and old fogies like me, but hell if that isn't a great bill.

I'm kind of surprised you haven't seen Opeth to be honest. Are the Foals good as I've been seeing them pop up around here?

Yeah around an hours drive away from where I live. This is just a warm up tour though. They go big next year around March time with stadiums etc but they haven't really made it commercially at all. Just one of those bands that rely on word of mouth and touring. Cannot wait.

Ooo well that's exciting. Have you bought tickets yet? Sometimes the word of mouth bands are some of the best ones. Over here a lot of bands make it locally and maybe even nationally but not internationally which to be honest doesn't bother me because they tend to remain far more unique and obviously cheaper to see. It's good that their are artists out there that do it for the love of music and not to make money from it.

High on Fire is playing here tomorrow night. I'd really like to go, hopefully I'm not too wiped after work to do so.
