Doh.
Still, there are enough bands on that bill to keep you amused, or at least there would be enough to keep me amused. I would check out Ghost to see what they are like live and I would like to see Red Fang too. |

You're welcome. This is an outdoor festival, right? Hopefully they at least have smaller stages with a little more intimacy and put Red Fang on there. I would like to see them, but in a small, dirty hell-hole of a bar or club.

Outdoors yep. It's the second biggest music festival in Australia, so doubt it'll be small. But hey, maybe I can meet some peeps who have similar music taste, which is the biggest problem I have here.

Well, given how many bands are on they must be split over several different stages so they may have one or two smaller stages. I dunno, thats just how they often do it here. The smaller stages can be more intimate, sometimes covered, in a tent or something. It really helps with the quality of the sound when compared to the main stages.

Probably. I've never been before so not sure. I hope so though. Not really much for big stages with gigantic crowds. Interferes with live music too much.

Generally speaking I definitely agree with you on that. There are exceptions though, in my opinion. Some bands suit the outdoors, stadium or festival setting and really excel there. I thought AC/DC were pretty special when I saw them headline Donington a couple of years ago and I have seen Iron Maiden on a number of occasions now and enjoyed them at festivals more than I did arenas.
