Going to a Gorillaz concert next Thursday with my little brother. It's gonna be his first concert and Gorillaz are his favourite band. Demon Days is amazing and I think they're self titled album and Plastic Beach are both pretty good, so I'm also pretty excited.

Saw Gorillaz headline Glastonbury this year, one of my favourite bands and i'm a huge fan of Albarn but i've gotta say I was really underwhelmed. I think the ghost of Blur from the year earlier loomed over him a bit, but he didn't say much the whole time and didn't look half the Albarn he had a year earlier! The atmosphere was suicidal at times! Saying that though - most the people there had bought tickets hoping to see U2! So hopefully seeing them around Gorillaz fans will generate a much more livlier atmosphere for you! Have a good time either way!

I'm glad I saw The Flaming Lips instead, Gorillaz are generally not my cup of tea anyway although it would have been cool to see Lou Reed come on stage.

And I agree about Blur, they were astounding (even though I did walk away to see The Prodigy after they played Coffee & TV, and then came back for the last part of the encore when they closed with The Universal. Wish I hadn't walked away at all though).

I'm going to see Mimicking Birds and Avi Buffalo both at this very small venue in town, which makes it great because you can talk with all the bands before they go on. And i have gotten so many free things from other bands.

Yeah it should be a great show, though I didn't really like Plastic Beach that much. As long as they play a decent amount of stuff from Demon Days, I'll be happy.
