Kings of leon tomorrow in St. Louis (my girlfriend wants to go - trust me, I'm trying to get out of it.) Old 97's, Robert Randolph, the Black Crowes, and Driving Wheel are all on the horizon.

^ I remember when I liked Kings of Leon for five seconds.
I'm seeing Tegan and Sara in September. Unfortunately, it's an opening act for Paramore. Paramore really isn't my bag, but it's worth it to me.
I really want to make it to Brooklyn (I live in Austin, TX) in August for the free concert with Holly Miranda, Metric, and Joan as a Police Woman. But I'm not sure if my ride is okay with that distance.

I don't have anything against Kings of Leon, but hey, I can see how they aren't the most amazing band in the world, but they are a decent enough pop / rock sorta group, good fir listening too when I really don't care too much what's playing...

I live in Austin too! Did you catch Holly Miranda at her free show during SXSW?

^ I couldn't make it to SxSW. I don't drive, so I am dependent upon other people to get me places. I've lived in Austin all my life and have yet to go to ACL or SXSW. It's really quite pitiful.

Going to work at Way Out West in a few weeks. Will hopefully see The Stooges, Paul Weller, M.I.A, Pavement, LCD Soundsystem, Mumford & Sons, if I have time between shifts.

I really, really want to see Queens of the Stone Age in August, but I was in Europe when the tickets went on sale and now they're all sold out and being gouged to hell. $200 is just not worth it, especially since I have no source of income ATM. Besides, they'll be back in LA soon enough, what with the new record planned.

I'm going to see Heart!

September 5
Quapaw, Oklahoma

Anyone else going to catch this one here?

Didn't think so.
I'm estatic they made Quapaw one of their stops. Its literally out in the middle of nowhere on the corner of three states, Kansas Missouri and Oklahoma. So it really screws the band up when they get up on stage trying to get the crowd warmed up. Foreigner went 'SO HOW ARE THE FOLKS OF QUAPAW..........*mumbles to band* which fucking state are we in again?....
