Oooh, Alexisonfire. I've been them live a couple of times in the past at festivals and such and they have always put on a good show.

When I was about 15-16 and starting to attend gigs more often, I was terrified of being in the 'pit' or general admission area for that very reason. But you'll be fine - I've never had any issues and I'm a tiny 5'2" chick! If it gets to intense I always just fall further back where moshing isn't as insane. That being said, I find people in my city are very friendly and responsible when it comes to moshing and crowds at concerts - people generally look out for each other.

true that. I remember a big day out ( a music festival here in oz and NZ) a few years ago, RATM where making their triumphant return to these shores, and I was deep in the mosh heavily drunk and pilling of my chops. Bout 3 songs in they played Bulls on Parade and we were tearing the place down, anyway the dude next to me must have been standing on my foot cause when I jumped my shoe didn't come with me, so here's me trying to go down and grab it while the crowd is heaving forward and sideways, everytime I made a swipe at it a group of hands would reach down and pull me up. I was trying to yell out my predicament but no-one could hear or comprehend me so I just left it thinking I'll get it when the crowd disperses. After the set I was drenched in sweat and battered and bruised but remember thinking what a great crowd to help me not knowing why I kept ducking down. I myself always look out for people the look like they're struggling. So after the show I was looking for my shoe as I had moved with the crowd a fair way from where I had originally been, there must have been hundreds of single shoes and thongs all over the place. I found 3 left black cons one stars but I needed a right shoe! Disheartened I just lobbed my lefty off into the mist thinking someone else may find it as a match for their lost dap.

Little rumor is that Amanda Palmer invited Bitter Ruin from the UK to tour with her in the US this fall after they volunteered to support her in the UK when her original support was stuck in the US due to the "****ing ash-cloud". They have wanted to get to the US but have not found the opportunity. I hope this rumor is true!

Im going to see these on the 26th:

Ef
Callisto
The Ocean

Im really looking forward to see Ef since they are one of my favorite post-rock bands. Really cool to see Callisto again too since it's been a year since I last saw them.
The Ocean pretty much suck so Im hoping they are the last one to play so I skip them and leave early.

Sasquatch Music Festival, labor day weekend. More of a mega-concert I guess. Gonna be good, as it always is, plus a crazy lineup this year.

Today I bought tickets for Tortoise (June 8) and Pinback (July 5). It will be my first time seeing both, and it's about damn time.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
