Totally off topic, but, Zarko, are you from Adelaide? I think you said in your post that you couldn't wait for Redshape to come to Adelaide...

My hometown... I miss it. People sling crap at Adelaide all the time, but now I don't live there I totally recognize how completely perfect it is.

BTW, thats for the excellent description of the band on your board, was very much appreciated, and it filled my mental gaps very well... :-)

Yeah from little ole' Adelaide. I totally agree, as a living place its pretty great. Not too much interesting happens which is where the rep comes from, but comfy, affordable etc. Depends what you're looking for I guess.

The current State Gov sucks though.

Going to see Jaga Jazzist in not so long .. Then there's the possibility of seeing Jethro Tull, but that won't be until August!

I wonder what U2 would be like now... I had very mixed feelings about No Line on the Horizon, I wonder how some of the new songs would pan out live...

All I really have to look forward to is D.R.I. in September. All my friends are going to Warped Tour in July so I decided I might as well go to that and see Dillinger Escape Plan.

I wish I had someone to go see Public Image Ltd. in May though...Protest The Hero is also playing the same month and I might go to that.

Do you have any listening recommendations for Jaga Jazzist? I've been meaning to check them out for a couple of years now.

There was a 10 minute long instrumental that was beyond epic. J, Lou and Murph played the absolute **** outta all their respective instruments. I seriously thought Lou was gonna destroy his bass hahaha. During Sludgefeast (the closer) J went nuts on his guitar and the crowd was NUTS.

Highlights: Freak Scene, Get Me, Feel The Pain and Sludgefeast
I'm jealous - they toured Australia and skipped NZ this time around.

I'll admit I don't know their albums that well. The only one I know is "A Livingroom Hush" from 2001 which is really good! It has the "animal chin" single on it, but while that particular song is like jazz on speed, most of the album is actually quite mellow.

At least I can recommend that one I've yet to hear their more recent stuff.
