Ah, been so many, I can't remember most, but:
Death-"Pull The Plug". Friend of mine played that when I was younger, I was hooked. Up until then, I had very little experience with death/heavy metal past Metallica and such. Best part is, he gave me the tape as collateral for loaning him 10 bucks...he never payed me back, hehe.
Also, I distinctly remember the video for Slayers "War Ensemble". I think that's the song that made me want to play drums, even though I'll never be that good.

This is going to be hard... I have had a short life filled with crap music (that I enjoyed at the time) so it's hard to pick a song that changed my life. Hmm...

Van Morrison-Brown Eyed Girl

I don't know why it changed my life, but it's the first song that I can remember that I totally loved. My Dad used to play it in his car when I was little and we'd both sing along to it, so I suppose it changed my life because it gives me many good memories and allows the link between music and my happiness to be bound even closer.

Hmmm, I never actually looked at this thread because of the title. But it's actually quite interesting.

One major song.....
Probably Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

It's the first song I remember hearing from my Dad's vinal collection and it just amazed me and turned me to music.

Another would be Supertramp - Bloody Well Right

Because it was the first time I heard curse words and music. Revalational moment.

considering coldplay is a rather newsish band from the last few years.. I can only imagine you being like what 12? anyways if not then please inlighten me and tell me/us why it took so long for you to find a song that changed your life? if not, and its too personal then fine.. but you made such a weird/intersting post I had to question it.

what does coldplay being a new band have to do with anything? you said Brand New, if i read that correctly, which if im also correct again, is just as recent as coldplay. every song has a different impact on everyone. and by the way, i think its quite funny that you said i was 12, im not the one with spelling issues here sweet heart. "inlighten" is spelled ENLIGHTEN. the reason that song changed my life is because the lyrics are outstanding, it brings a whole new meaning to my day.

all this coming from someone who acquired their music taste from their boyfriend?
