I'm working on a list of the saddest songs ever, and I'd appreciate it a lot if you guys at musicbanter.com could help me out by giving me a list of what you think are some of the saddest ever songs. The more songs the merrier...*how ironic*

Um...cash had a crapload of happy stuff the only extremely sad song he did was "Hurt"...

I got lots of sad vibes from everything I've heard of him...maybe its just me, I'm in a depressed mood all the time...most of the time.

EDIT: Ethan, Johnny Cash had tons of sad songs. Way more than just Hurt.
But not even close to all of his songs were sad.

agreed, that is a rather sad song.. the first verison is by wesdneday and to me there verison even tho its theres is rather weak compared to the cover verison by Pearl Jam.. they make it gold.. its amazing i think it just might be the best cover song in history.. at least to me

"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt makes me cry, for my own reasons.
