MTV ain't telling me to listen to their music. It's their so I can listen to it if I want, which sometimes I do. If I want to go out and find some good bands to listen to, I will and I do. I don't need Urban coming on here and saying 'MTV is stupid music for stupid people.' Just because I listen to MTV doesn't make me stupid. If I want to listen to MTV then I will listen to MTV. I'm as open-minded as they come. Which obviously isn't one of Urban's qualities-he much prefers to tell you what to listen to, after all, he is always right. Now let's watch everyone stick up for Urban. As usual.

I never said anything of the sort.What I said was if you are using television to find new music and you are not satisfied with it and you are just complaining that music sucks because of what you see on television then you don`t really have any grounds to complain , if you`re not making any effort to find anything better.

I never said anywhere people who watch MTV are stupid , I never said everybody like what I like or you`re stupid.And maybe if people do stick up for me it`s because they think I have a point.

I don`t know what`s bought this rant on but you`ve missed virtually every point I made by a mile.

Okay, I did miss the point of your post. I think you never explained yourself properly, as I thought you meant by 'if you watch MTV then you deserve that kind of music' that MTV played stupid music and you were stupid if you watched MTV. I realise Music TV isn't the best source to get muisc from, by a long way, but it still plays music for people who like that sort of stuff. So I don't see why people dislike it so much, to be honest. If you don't like MTV don't watch it, end of.

All he said is that if you consider MTV the best source for finding new music, then you have problems, its not a cheap insult, its just the truth, thats far from saying people who watch MTV are stupid, i usualy only watch MTV when they play Beavis and Butthead, which they rarely do anymore.

There are many better music sources than MTV, you dont even have to try very hard.

Pussycat Dolls are terrible. Manufactired Pop band, who realised that only one of their singers could actually sing, so decided to make the rest of them just stand there and do nothing. You would feel cheated if you were that woman, having to share her riches witha bunch of no-marks.

i just hate it.. every single time i went club hoping the summer that song was being played every five minute's it seemed.. and its not even that good!!! damnit.. are there that many people out there scared to listen to music thats not on MTV!!!

I wouldn't actually class MTV as listening to music. If you wanted to listen to music then you would pop on a CD. MTV is more about the videos. That's why I watch it, anyway.

i was never a big fan of music videos sense rap!!!! just got sick of it.. but i did find the "float on" video fun to watch.. trippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i just like going on yahoo music and getting to pick as many of the videos i want to watch rather then being forced to watch crap i don't like just cause theres nothing else on..
