Murder Junkie - Duran Duran did virtually an enitre ALBUM of bad covers, called "Thank You", which included the following bad versions of good songs:

White Lines (Grandmaster Flash) A little help from GrandMaster Flash himself can't even help this cover.

I Wanna Take You Higher (Sly & the Family Stone) Blah.

Perfect Day (Lou Reed) Ok, I guess so.

Watching The Detectives (Elvis Costello) Nope… uh-uh.

Lay Lady Lay (Dylan) Yikes. Do not let Duran Duran go near another Dylan song… EVER.

911 Is A Joke (Public Enemy) Simon LeBon rapping?! Ridiculous, and embarrasing to say the very least. Can't believe this song got the OK from the record label.

Crystal Ship (The Doors) Not bad, but yet still somehow very bad, indeed.

10. Thank You (Led Zeppelin) Probably the only decent cover on this album.

I Wanna Take You Higher Again (Sly & the Family Stone) Decided one version wasn't enough for some reason.

The saddest thing about this album… I OWN IT.

I would like to point out here that Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor was the first to cover 911`s a joke on his solo album , so Duran Duran are technically responsable for ruining that song TWICE.

No difference in the Limp Bizkit version and The Who version??

You must be one of the people who think Fred Durst wrote the song... If you were old enough to hear the original, you would know that Limp Bizkit butchered it. And how the hell can you stand up for rap-metal bands anyway?

Just shows your age.

Oh wow now using my age as an insult? Listen jerk, I don't think fred Durst wrote the song i've heard both versions or else i wouldn't be saying they sound the same would I? and yes im standing up for them, big deal you hate the band, i do too but the songs still sound the same. Compare them back to back the only diffirence is the eletronic part on the bizkit version and the part where they do the solo routine and it speeds up on the whos. Aside from that its the same. Which is what 40 seconds? Then if you cut out the end of bizkit its fine.

Oh and quit assuming shit about me, it really doesn't make you look intelligent.

I think what my furious friend is trying to say here is The Who:Limp Bizkit::Jefferson Airplane:Jim Carey in cable guy

The songs are diffrent yes, but theres nothing that was done diffrently on the whole. The voice is diffrent, and yes LB used speak and spell. Other than that, it was a direct copy. It was not, say

The Animals's House of the Rising Sun compared to Tracy Chapman's version which were completly diffrent aside from lyrics. And maybe it was if we count decipherability.

Thats what convinced me that the guitarist for LB is the worst guitarist ever, they copy the song note for note, except they leave out the awesome guitar solo and replace it with speech and spell, it isnt even a hard guitar solo, in fact its simple as hell.

I apologize, it is my personal belief that ANYONE who stands up for Limp Bizkit or Korn must have been a teenager angry at their parents during the 90's.

And I've listened to them back to back: Roger Daltrey sings with passion and power... Fred Durst sings like a dying animal. If you honestly think these songs "sound the same" you need to get some Q-Tips to remove your massive earwax buildup.

I'm also a little bitter that you think Dylan is overrated. It's not like there's a standard by which you HAVE to like an artist, but saying that Dylan has never written any amazing lyrics is just stupidity.
