It'll catch on. Things move fast. In a couple of months, no one will be using mp3 players but me and mp4 players will be everywhere.

I agree with the whole "material" arguement. And while its true that CDs practically killed off vinyl (that said, I still but a good deal of it), tapes definetly didnt at the time, because they weren't necessarily more practical than your average 7inch, and likewise, theres as many pros to CDs over MP3/4s as cons. Itll certainly murder singles, but haven't album sales actually rose since the popularization of the I-pod?
