I thought these were good choices...
6. My Morning Jacket, Z 9. Sufjan Stevens, Illinois 12. Sleater-Kinney, The Woods 32. The Go! Team, Thunder, Lightening, Strike 33. Antony and the Johnsons, I Am a Bird Now 35. LCD Soundsystem, LCD Soundsystem 38. Dungen, Ta Det Lugnt 39. Annie, Anniemal 50. Stars, Set Yourself on Fire Stars should've been way higher. Missing a lot of good stuff, but that's to be expected from Rolling Stone. I was more shocked by Pitchfork's list, which was missing stuff like Broken Social Scene, Venetian Snares, and others. I can't believe they didn't include Architecture In Helsinki after hyping them ALL YEAR. And no Andrew Bird, Mount Eerie, Jens Lekman, Stars, Sigur Ros, Stephen Malkmus? What a joke, Pitchfork. |
