I had this problem too. First try to enable scrobbling by turning it on and off in the corner of the last.fm radio. If that doesn't work, just go to your radio, there should be a last.fm icon in your icon list, and go to tools. Click the get plugin, then hit next and then you'll find the setup wizard asking you to select your plugins for which media player it works with. Select iTunes or whatever the hell it is the kids use these days and give it another try.

So, looks like all the plays for any given artist aren't appearing correctly.
Honestly, I think Last.FM should abolish collective charts anyway. It's all a bunch of inflation, especially amongst a lot of pop music fans. You know. Those people who have been a member of the site for 4 days and have listened to Britney Spears 90,000 times.
