1 The Smiths 49
-favorite band EVAR...for now. Mostly The World Won't Listen. I like it better then two of their studio albums so....
2 The Mars Volta 45
-listened to the new album a couple times then remembered how great De-Loused is, so most plays are from that.
3 Patrick Wolf 39
-Just got two of his albums...he's that great. It won't take long for him to climb up my charts.
4 Elliott Smith 31
-I listen to a good bit of Elliott every week, I find him vary soothing.
5 Beck 18
-Odelay is getting kind of old, but I'm getting into Modern Guit again, especially the song with Cat Power.
6 Zucchero 16
-Actually found him while doing a project at school a couple months ago. Only have a greatest hits, but I love it. He's in my avvy.
7 The Who 15
-Got Who's Next? and Quadrophenia this week. I've talked a lot of sh*t about them on here in my earlier days, but I take it all back.
8 The Tallest Man on Earth 12
-Got his album off of MB awhile back and haven't stopped listening to it since. Straight up folk that always puts me in a good mood.
9 Iron & Wine 11
-Same with Elliott Smith, except I usually listen a lot more.
9 Radiohead 11
-OK Computer is really growing on me.

Last 7 Days

1 Green Day 100
-pretty much have all their albums, from 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours to American Idiot. idc what people say, they're a good as hell band.

2 Strapping Young Lad 74
-a good mix of industrial pain and tounge in cheek humor

3 blink-182 63
-i got 4 albums from these guys, their earlier stuff is really good, but their later stuff leaves alot to be desired

4 Stone Temple Pilots 56
-4 albums, and after listening to them, i've reached my verdict. i like STP

5 Clutch 46
-i always gotta have my weekly dose of Clutch

6 Phish 32
-I have so much stuff by these guys that their music always comes up on shuffle

7 The Red Chord 30
-this band kicks ass, and getting 2 more of their cds reaffirms that

8 Al Di Meola 28
good as hell fusion mixed with acoustic guitar and world music

9 In Flames 26
i'm surprised that i didn't get into these guys sooner. The Jester Race is a killer album, definately worth checking out

10 Devin Townsend 22
-pretty akin to SYL, Devin's solo work is still something to listen to and take notice

11 Bad Brains 19
-to add to my collection of punk

12 Beck 16
-i couldn't quite figure out what to put as a genre, so Other seemed like the best option, and even that's streching it a bit

13 The Unicorns 15
-not a bad record, but some songs were just a bit meh to me

13 Sex Pistols 15
-i really liked Never Mind the Bollocks. people don't give these guys enough credit as an actual band, they were pretty tight back in the day

15 Queen 14
-definately a great band, deserves all the praise they get

15 Rilo Kiley 14
-pretty much my first time listening to indie music, and i really liked the whole feel of this band. it'll probably pass the Unicorns pretty soon

17 R.E.M. 11
-i was listening to my only R.E.M. cd, Green, mainly for an album review

18 Butthole Surfers 8
-I'm actually surprised that i'm playing them this much. i guess they're starting to grow on me.

19 Foo Fighters 7
-their first record is really good, but some of their later works seems to have lost a bit of steam

19 The Pukers 7
-this band that i found on a messageborad, a mix of punk, thrash, and rock. pretty good.

1 The Mars Volta 39
New Album yay, that number is only going to be higher considering I'm listening to Octahedron right now. Only downside is that TMV are already my top artist. Now that gap between my top and the rest is only going to get worse. Considering I got my new last.fm account and then Bedlam leaked D: And then I stopped listening to music for ages due to Uni shortly afterwards.

2 Dead Kennedys 16
Listened to In Got We Trust, Inc. twice. Probably the best EP ever.

3 Genesis 13
Listened to Foxtrot and Nursery Cryme, going to listen to selling England when TMV finishes. Great trio of albums there. Such a shame about Lamb and then the rest of their albums.

3 Magma 13
Listened to their live Trilogie Au Trianon about a week ago, a few plays are still on my weekly charts.

3 Sleepy Sun 13
Album + live Ep. These guys are so great. Seriously if you're interested in new, indepenedent bands that don't suck, ask me for an up. Great psychedelic stuff.

6 maudlin of the Well 11
Part the Second twice and then the first song off Bath. My computer crashed and I went to bed, and forgot to listen to the rest of bath

6 Pantera 11
VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER

8 King Crimson 10
I intended to do a King Crimson marathon, but only listened to In The Court and Lizard, great albums. Ah I remember why I didn't finish, pretty sure TMV leaked.

9 Billy Cobham 8
Nice funky fusion from jackhammer, pretty cool.

10 Isis 7
Listened to the Vinyl rip off Wavering Radiant, I've always thought Isis were boring as fuck I still do. Might give it another listen, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes. I preferred it to the Quest for Fire album, which was good as well but I really enjoyed Sleepy Sun.

I reallly enjoyed the quest for fire album the first few times I listened to it. But once Sleepy Sun had gotten under my skin I found it to be much much better. Quest for Fire however is better if you're doing something else like playing Rome; Total War. do you want me too hook you up with Sleepy Sun's live EP? 14 minute new age ftw.

Comus. I like your idea of incorporating a few thoughts about each artist. Maybe that should become a new feature of this thread.
