It's a Northern Soul classic.
Gloria Jones, 1964.

crimepartner 11-22-2005 04:47 PM

wow.

dont touch me please, I cannot stand the way you tease....

I like a song called "beat me to the punch" I know who its by, I just cant think of it.its written good and is pretty old. fun to sing. - - - off the subject.

boo boo 11-22-2005 04:49 PM

Yes's version of Paul Simon's America, in my opinion.

Pretty much every Nirvana cover kicks ass.

The Who, Rush and Blue Cheer have all done some kickass versions of Summertime Blues.

Most covers are pretty awful, regarding the covers of great songs.

Nothing really comes to mind apart from Sheryl Crows cover of The First Cut Is The Deepest, it is not a bad version of it, a female version that is.

TheBig3 11-22-2005 10:02 PM

I don't want to be a **** but me thinks people might just be listing covers cause there are some pretty **** covers listed here.

boris jawaka 11-22-2005 11:21 PM

i love the Whos version of Under my thumb but my two favourite covers are Hendrix's All along the watchtower and Frank Zappas reggae version of Stairway to Heaven - i cant stand the original cos ive heard it so many times so its nice to hear a different version for a change
