Most covers are pretty awful, regarding the covers of great songs.

Nothing really comes to mind apart from Sheryl Crows cover of The First Cut Is The Deepest, it is not a bad version of it, a female version that is.

i love the Whos version of Under my thumb but my two favourite covers are Hendrix's All along the watchtower and Frank Zappas reggae version of Stairway to Heaven - i cant stand the original cos ive heard it so many times so its nice to hear a different version for a change
