ya, when we formed our last band we wanted to stay away from the numbers because every band seemed to have one...so we went with a "the" band which at the time was used by either really old bands or not well known bands and low and behold new ones started coming out..theyre everywhere now. I still think you can get away easier with "the" than a number though.

Evanescence found their name by looking through the dictionary. Maybe you want a name that means something to you. Evanescence means "To dissipate, or dissapear like water vapour." this describes them well...
