Swedish bands.. i bet you didn't know
Hey there,
Was interested to know if anyone has heard much about the music that's coming out of Sweden? You ever heard of the Caesars? For those of you who don't recognise the name I'm sure the song "Jerk It Out" will ring a few bells (the iPod advert) - well, yes they are Swedish. How about the Hives? Cardigans? Shout Out Louds (publicised in NME magazine)? Yup all Swedish. Anyway, the purpose of that was to just show that Swedish is pretty good when it comes to good music. I spent the whole of last year in Munich, Germany, and found out just how much more good music is out there. If you are interested then check out this website: w w w.thearkworld.com - The Ark is a kinda Glam rock/pop band. Very extrovert, crazy and controversial. The music is very happy yet has true meanings behind the lyrics. It's very catchy so give it a listen. The Ark are massive in the Nordic countries and Europe, however have yet to make it in the UK. No harm in listening right? Just some other really cool Indie bands out from Sweden at the mo... MoneyBrother w w w.moneybrother.net Soundtrack Of Our Lives w w w.tsool.net Sugarplum Fairy w w w.sugarplumfairy.nu Mando Diao w w w.mando-diao.com Hellacopters w w w.hellacopters.com Just give some of them a listen, you might like some of them. They all play and write their own music and give great live performances (I can vouch for that -tho the only band i haven't seen is Mando Diao) Cheers, Vicky |

That's fair enough. If that's the case them i'm not too sure you'll like Sugarplum fairy then, they are the younger brothers from one of the Mando Diao member. You may like Soundtrack Of Our Lives tho..

Sure, for Soundtrack Of Our Lives check out Big Time and Believe I've Found - they are good ones to start off with.
Also if you're interested MoneyBrother is kinda funky - Blow Him Back Into My Arms and Nobodies Lonely Tonight. Hope you like them |
