The Rolling Stones In Mono is one of the worst looking boxset covers I have ever seen. All of them look upset/jaded/confused/sad :/
Michael Jackson's greatest hits boxset looks so incredibly lazy. Just a cartoon Michael Jackson looking down with his arms sticking up in the air. :/ I remember another MJ fan asking something like, "God, WHY did Sony have a cartoon MJ looking down with his arms in the air for the greatest hits boxset? Couldn't they have put a REAL photo of MJ for the Boxset cover? :/ |

Well, since it's mono, it's appropriate the box set cover would be boring - right?
If it was in quadraphonic it would have to be a really elaborate and colorful cover!

I'm stuck for an answer. Most box set covers look pretty nondescript to me. I think the only box set I own is The Fall Peel Sessions, and it's cover is certainly nondescript. But since the people most likely to buy box sets are huge fans of the artist in question, I guess they really don't have to be visually striking, since the fans will buy them anyway.
These last couple of threads you've come up with are really good ones, Karice. Keep 'em coming! |
