Funny jokes that make Singers/Musicians deaths easier? :)

A Poster said something like,"Jimi Hendrix didn't die. Earth was just a 27 year Tour for him. :)

A Poster said something like,"God took Jimi Hendrix to heaven early because God wanted permanent Guitar lessons. :) Another Poster responded,"Selfish God." :)

A Poster said something like,"Janis Joplin chose to give all her tomorrows away for a single yesterday. :)

These jokes REALLY do make Singers/Musicians deaths easier. :)

I remember when Elvis Presley died. Supposedly, he died while sitting on a toilet at his home.

I heard someone say "the King died on his throne."

I laughed.

Here's one I posted in another thread that's even more appropriate here:

One day back in August 1977, the president of RCA Records was sitting in his office when one of his assistants walked in:

Assistant: Boss, I have good news and bad news.

Prez: Well, it's been a rough day, so give me the good news first.

A: The good news is we just got word that Elvis Presley died.

P: Wrong. That's not good news. That's great news! We'll re-release all of his old records, have a big publicity campaign and play on the public's sympathy. We'll make more money off the son of a bitch dead than when he was alive! Woo-hoo! OK, so now what's the bad news?

A: The bad news is that Glen Miller's plane just landed and he wants his royalties.

Here's one I heard when Kurt Cobain died...

What were Kurt's last words to Courtney before he killed himself?

Spoiler for Punchline:
Hole is going to be big!

I don't know how to feel about this chat. I guess that I can understand why the jokes are made, but maybe it all depends on who makes them in the first place. If they come from someone who loves the person that is no longer here, then I most definitely get it because it may be just their way of dealing with the loss.

Is there anything that I can say about a singer who isn't here? There is, but I don't say it in hopes that other people will laugh at it. I say it because it is true. One of my most favorite singers who isn't here anymore is Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys. He was in the group from 1987-1995 in case you don't know about him already. Anyway, on June 10, 1998, he shot himself. To me, he was a complete and total babe and so what I say about him is that he decided to eat what he still is to this day: a lethal weapon.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly (a girl who forever misses him so very much)

P.S. Steve is the one at the top of this picture.
