Blood, Sweat & Tears - The Battle

David Clayton-Thomas was this band's lead singer during their commercial heyday, but Steve Katz got to sing at least one song per album. This interesting tune, with the harpsichord intro, is certainly different than the stuff David sang. "The war is never over/and the day is never done"

Have a Cigar by Pink Floyd. Roger Waters and David Gilmour had a go but weren't happy with the results so they got Roy Harper to do it

The Fleshtones - Way Down South

Guitarist Keith Streng sings lead in place of keyboard player Peter Zaremba on this straight ahead rocker.

This Doors song was recorded during the sessions for the 'L.A. Woman' album. It didn't make it onto the LP but it did make it onto the B-side of the "Love Her Madly" single. Ray Manzarek is on vocals...

An early Supremes classic[ The Tears ] has Mary Wilson on lead, and it's pretty good.

Here's an early Supremes song with Florence Ballard singing lead:

I used to love this song (from the Velvet Underground's wonderful self-titled album), sung by the drummer, Maureen Tucker, until I saw this video. Spoiled it completely.
