Psi-Fi posted this tune in another thread by Loy Clingman, the guy who originally recorded it (I think he did, that is). Here Johnny Winter takes a wide left turn from his usual sound and goes country on It's Nothing To Me, which for some reason he titles Ain't Nothing To Me:

This is the strangest thing Creedence, or John Fogerty solo, ever recorded. It starts out as a jaunty little instrumental but things get really "experimental" and weird close to the 2 minute mark:

Joe Cocker - That's Your Business

With the old timey piano, this song shows the all too rare whimsical side of Cocker's music, as opposed to the ballads or shouty blues rock stuff. The only other song he did in this vein was Pardon Me Sir, which was a minor hit single.

Big Brother & The Holding Company - I'll Change Your Flat Tire, Merle

Yes, they recorded separately from, and after, Janis Joplin (RIP) died. But this country and western sendup of Merle Haggard is very different than their usual blues based rock. It was recorde in the wake of Merle's early, attention getting redneck anthems "Okie From Muskogee" and "Fightin' Side Of Me."

The Joni Mitchell tune is definitely a departure for her. I'm not familiar enough with Shanti to comment with respect to Ashtangi.

Black Sabbath - Orchid

Really more of a Tony Iommi solo piece than a group effort. Regardless, this finger picked acoustic guitar instrumental wasn't anything anyone expected from Black Sabbath at the time the album (their third) came out.
