Here is another one from Mason. To me, it could very well be the best one from him. I do know that it has the most perfect video.

God bless you and Mason always!!!

"Down in the city just Hoople and me"

A nice shout out to Mott The Hoople which is the only band Queen toured with as an opener.

On the flipside...

Ian Hunter of MTH returned the shout out to Freddie in his song, "Now Is The Time".

"The killer with the kiss, He was a friend of mine"

"That crazy little planet, He was a friend of mine"

I actually had those lyrics come to my mind a couple of weeks ago. No idea why they popped into my head out of the blue. They were something of an earworm for a couple of days.

I've been lestening to The Doors since 1967, when their debut album was released and "Light My Fire" was first getting played on AM radio stations. I've read a couple of books about the band and knew various bits of band trivia from interviews I've read and listened to over the years, but I didn't know that line in that song was a reference to Otis Redding.

Hmm, the new member has disappeared after posting in double figures in one day. Must have gotten bored when no one immediately commented on the original song he posted. Anyway, here's a piece of low hanging fruit that fits this thread:
