Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show - Roland The Roadie And Gertrude The Groupie

“..said he’d introduce her to all of the Beatles and Stones”

7 or 8 years ago, I came across a DVD of a live show of theirs from 1974 and bought it out of curiosity. I never cared for the soft-rock/pop music they started putting out from the mid 70's onward but since this show predated all that, I figured I'd take a chance on it. Glad I did because it turned out to be a fantastic performance by the band and has become one of my all-time favorite live performances ever captured on video by any band. And to top it off, the two frontmen for the group appear to be as high as kites throughout the entire show but still manage to deliver a thoroughly entertaining performance.

Here's the song you mentioned, performed live from that show...

Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show - Roland The Roadie And Gertrude The Groupie

You'll have to click on the link to watch it, though.
