Thanksgiving Songs
In the spirit of Buckeye Randy's Halloween Songs thread, I'm starting this one. While there are certainly fewer songs for Thanksgiving than Halloween, there are a number of them out there.
I'll start with a fine Boston band from back in the day. Ever see them live, Psy-Fi? Dumptruck - Thanksgiving https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR0U4-6QaqQ |
I'll take the lowest of the low hanging fruit. This song has been a Thanksgiving tradition on Cleveland radio since I was a kid.
It was once a barometer of 'cool' but now everybody knows it. I'll see you on the group W bench. |

I never did get to see Dumptruck play live. One of many bands that have unfortunately slipped by me over the years. And as long as I'm here... Ray Davies - Thanksgiving Day |
The JB's - Pass The Peas |
Gotta have some potatoes to go with those peas...
Dee Dee Sharp - Mashed Potato Time |
Thanks to Psy-Fi for getting a couple of side dishes together. Now for the main course and some other side dishes:

From my very first 'punk' compilation album back in the day. https://soundsoftheuniverse.com/img/...tiffs-live.jpg |
Dee Dee wants some gravy with her mashed potatoes...
Dee Dee Sharp- Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes) |
Nice song eating.
Girl, you let a knife and fork dig your grave You eat every kinda food, you ain't nothin' but a slave If you don't slacken up your pace They're gonna throw food in your face Girl, you let a knife and fork dig your grave If that doesn't sound like Thanksgiving fun I don't know what does! |
I bought this CD by Golden Smog when released and apparently it made an impression.
