Back in the 90's (1994, I think), I went to see 'Southern Culture on the Skids' and 'The Reverend Horton Heat' at a club in Boston, MA. The opening act were called 'Ape Hangers' and were probably the most awful live act I had ever seen up to that point in time.

I saw a band called 'Fischerspooner' open for Iggy Pop back in the late 90's or early 2000's (can't remember the date) and they were also awful. Sounded like some type of goth/techno music. Seemed like a strange choice for an opening act at an Iggy Pop show.

I saw a show about 7 or so years ago and the opening act was called 'The Body.' Easily the worst live act I've yet to have seen perform. The worst part of it was that the venue had a "no re-admittance" policy, so I couldn't walk out during their set and return after it was over.

I went to see 'The Dammned' play a show in 2017 and I forget the name of the opening act but they were mediocre and forgettable. They had a female vocalist who kept saying "this is a rock show" at various times throughout their entire set which just made their set even more tedious than it already was.

The only reason I remember any of these bands is because of how awful their performances were.

Yeah, that's the only reason I recall Magnapop. They opened for The Fall. They were terrible.

If we are talking plain awful live performances. Stoneburner who opened for The Dead Milkmen was so horrible that it was memorable!

I now refer to bad music as 'Stoneburner bad'.

If we are talking bands that were once popular that have thankfully faded...I vote Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and finally Starship.

I consider my quality of life better since classic rock stations don't play this band in any shape or form.

Sure, Airplane was an important piece of the hippie culture and they did have two memoarable songs, one of which sucked. After that...less is more and best is forgotten.

Jack, a British band from the 1990s who were signed to a really good label, Too Pure. I think they were supposed to be "sophisticated" but it was just chemically pure indie mediocrity.

Back in the day when a friend of mine worked at a record shop (remember those?) I picked up their album The Jazz Age out of sheer curiosity and stuck it in the CD player. Awful.

I pray that this act is never on such a list.

A documentary on the Sawyer Brown band was premiered on October 1st last year at a Nashville film festival and now it has become available to see online. Get Me To The Stage On Time is the name, and it is awesome! :) :) :)
