Yeah, I miss Billy Joe Royal too. I really enjoyed "Down In The Boondocks" and "Cherry Hill Park". He used to play at least once a year at a small club near where I lived but I never got the chance to see him. Such is life.

Hang On To Your Life - The Guess Who, The Doors

The Doors song is interesting. Although it was recorded and released after Jim Morrison died, I can very well imagine him singing it, except for the jokey part toward the end where the tempo gets way faster. I like the fast part, though:
