I was really bummed out by Piotr Anderszewski canceling a recital in 2019 in New York. His concert in Montreal a few years earlier was among my best experiences as a concertgoer.

Another one I remembered is Wanda Jackson. I had tickets to see her 6 or 7 years ago and she cancelled the show at the last minute due to an injury. The venue offered refunds or we could hold our tickets for a rescheduled date. I decided to hold my tickets and wait until the new date. It turned out that I couldn't make it to the rescheduled show when it was announced, so I got a refund from the venue. A friend of mine who went to the rescheduled show said that her band showed up but she was a no-show, supposedly because of a transportation problem, so the band played a full set for those who wanted to stay and the venue offered refunds for everyone. The venue booked her again for another show after that and once again she cancelled at the last minute, this time due to some type of illness.

I think she quit touring and retired after that, so I never did get to see her.

I remember when she was touring and have regretted not going to see her in Cleveland. After reading your post, maybe nobody saw her!

Sorry you didn't get to see her. I saw her three times, the last time being between 8 to 10 years ago. She always put on a good show. I remember reading about her cancelling some shows due to injury. The main reason she stopped touring was the death of her husband and manager, Wendell Goodman.

This only partially applies but The Tubes just cancelled their tour that was scheduled to start in a couple weeks. Refunds are being given so goodbye to my front row tix that I had for the 23rd of this month. Aaarrgghh!

I'm not totally gutted because I've previously seen them three times but it still sucks.

The Tubes were supposed to play in Cincinnati as well on this tour but of course that isn't happening either.

Did they give a reason for the tour cancellation?

I only did a quick google search and saw nothing. Hopefully no health issues for the three core members.

Prairie's last show on Todd's tour was October 26th. He's been splitting time for over ten years now between the two.
