Longest You Traveled To See A Concert (when that was the trip's main purpose)
I added the "main purpose of the trip" because it's a bit unfair to say "I went to visit my cousin in Australia and we decided to see a concert after I got there."
In my case, the distance was 367 miles from my home in the Cincinnati area to the Lincoln Theater in Marion, Virginia to see a live taping of the PBS music show Song Of The Mountain. That beat my previous record of 200-plus miles to Chicago to see The Fall. |

Royal Oak (Michigan) is only 3 hours from my house but I had to drive 90 minutes to pick somebody up and it was 4 hours to Royal Oak from their house. I did divide the trip up but it was a couple long days of driving and I would do it all over again to see another show by Sparks.
I was a passenger for a road trip to Wilmington (DE) to see the Dead Milkmen. That was 6.5 hours. However, it may have been a concert only trip for me but it was a business trip/concert trip for the driver. Last edited by Buckeye Randy; 08-13-2024 at 04:03 PM. Reason: update |

If it was a concert only trip for you, that's what counts. IMHO, the Dead Milkmen are worth such a trip. I was lucky to see them in Cincinnati back in the day. I'm glad they's reformed. I wouldn't mind seeing them again sometime. |
