Go-Go--any recommendations?

I was inspired to start this thread by the "are we ready for a new musical genre" thread. Go-go isn't new, but it's a genre--more of a sub-genre of funk--that I don't know much about. It has a following mainly in Washington, DC. I am familiar with EU, but don't know many go-go acts beyond that. If anyone can recommended any go-go acts, "classic" or newer, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, if a thread like this has been done before, I apologize and ask a moderator to kindly merge this thread with the earlier one.
