Is $25 a good concert price for a band that just released their Demo?

So, there's a Fictional Band named Cake Cream who used to be just opening Acts and do gigs at places like Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, etc, but they just released their demo. And for their first Concert, their Manager, I'll call him Alex said tickets should be $25 because this is their first Headlining Concert, not them as Opening Acts or doing a couple of songs in say a Nightclub, so tickets should be only $25 and tickets can be $300 when you're a Rolling Stone!

So, is $25 a good concert price for a band that just released their Demo?

$25 is probably on the high end for a lesser-known act starting to play as the headliner in 2023 but it's not unrealistic. Most bands I've seen in that situation, usually charge between $5 to $25. $10 to $15 is around the average from my experience.

Hmm. Alex said that $25 a lot of people can afford a $25 ticket. I personally think a $5 ticket would be REALLY too low. I have personally never have seen a ticket that cost $5 in real life....

I think $25 is around the average for an established artist who isn't in the superstar category like Madonna or The Stones but when I go out to see some of the up-and-coming artists, they usually play smaller venues and their tickets are around $10 to $20. $5 is definitely on the lowest end and not common but I've seen it occasionally over the past several years.

$5 seems like something that you'd do for a family show, like 5 cousins who are all around 20 and trying to break into the music business who want to do a show in an Aunt's backyard or something.
