I'm not a big fan of KISS. I've heard people boast about how great this band is and I don't see what is so great about this band.
I like a few songs, but that's about it. Am I missing something?

Any diehard KISS fans here?

Well, what can you say about a classic?

I used to be very anti-KISS but in recent months I guess I've developed a soft spot for them. I think in their earlier days they had alot more sincerity, and after the original members started leaving the band became a little more hollow-feeling. But I'm digging the original kind of fire they had.

Once the over-merchandising hit it became an over-marketed joke.

I think Kiss are good, can't go wrong if our the main influence on Soundgarden.

Their first 3 albums ain`t bad , gritty rock n roll in a similar style to the New York Dolls.

Shame that they turned into a cartoon pop band after that.

Yeah hell no, because if theres one thing I hate about music is, its all these crappy bands (NYD) coming back as if they did things correctly and we are all stupid for not liking them and letting them die out. I feel NYD's are referenced far too much by people who have never heard of them but know that they should mention them to appear enlightened. Frankly, I think the problem with Kiss is that Ace plays terrible guitar but the real issue is that Gene Simmons is a commerical whore.

I never had a problem with their music, and if that Disco track that got air play was on, I'd listen to it.
