Not that soon!

Okay here we go!

Round 7

Song 1

The sounds of percussion come to my ears as darkness falls, repeating
However the only sound she is aware of is soft talking
She arrives after midnight, flying in, the light of Earth's only satellite scintillating off the metal pinions of her transport and leading me in the direction of rescue
While travelling to my desination I detained an aged fellow
With some expectation of speech not remembered, perhaps music from a time long past
He faced me in such a way that I felt certain he was remarking
That I should hurry, as my attendance upon her was anticipated.

Answer: "Africa" by Toto

Song 2

Should you be the type who likes a flutter I concur, listen to me
Luck is a fickle mistress but I don't care; it's all about the game
That's what I like
Deny it all you like, I don't care
Your avarice doesn't touch me
There is but one out of the entire suit of 52 which I require.

Answer: "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead

Song 3

On occasion, death can be preferable to life
You hold a weapon and it targets your cranium
You have the impression you may be unsound of mind, rather unbalanced
Directing blows with your foot at items of furniture
In an eatery, in a town which is not in the eastern part of the city
Alert the constabulary! A lunatic is abroad
Hurrying in a downward direction towards tunnels
Towards a pub of poor repute on the opposite side of the east of the town.

Answer: "West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys

Song 4

The time for alterations has not arrived
Take your ease, do not rush, for youth is yet yours, and this can be seen as a failing
You have yet to experience what is ahead.
Locate a woman, stop sowing your wild oats, perchance you may wed if that is your wish
Regard he who sings; age has withered me however I do not cry.
There was a time when you would have seen yourself in me
And I'm cognisant of the fact that things can be difficult
Remaining level-headed once one discovers a conspiracy
However my counsel is not to rush into anything
Cogitate much upon it, reflect on what is yours
For after today you will remain here, however this may not be true of the things about which you fantasise.

Answer: "Father and Son" by Cat Stevens

Song 5

After superhuman attempts do not yield success
After the attainment of your desires rather than your requirements
At a time when sleep won't come though you are most weary
Constantly going backwards
And you begin to cry at the loss of something precious and unique
When your affections come to naught
Can the situation deteriorate any further?
Illumination will attend you on the way to where you live
And set fire to your skeleton.

Answer: "Fix You" by Coldplay

Song 5

Does anyone know the location of a place where there are no bad men and also divine beings?
Can someone point me in the direction of a demigod who is well known in the neighbourhood and who will take on all comers?
Surely there must be a chivalrous person riding a horse breathing fire?
In total darkness I am restless and fantasise about my requirements.

This round looks like the hardest (fnarr fnarr) yet.

Reckon song 2 is Ace of Spades - Motorhead

The skeleton was the key.

Cat Stevens - "Father and Son"

Sometimes it just takes one or two lines (see bolded above), and then rest occurs to me.

"Just relax, take it easy, you're still young, that's your fault, there's so much for you to know."

Yes, I wanted to find another way to say "ignite your bones" but I had to include skeleton. Just nothing else. Maybe set fire to calcium deposits? Ah, well done anyway.

Thanks. I don't have high hopes for the other songs. This round is tough!
