I do think Psy-Fi is kidding himself if he actually believes that Trump won't get the nomination if he chooses to run again. There's probably a good chunk of Republicans who'd prefer someone less divisive, but at this point, the R's made their bed, and they're gonna have to ride or die with Trump. I just can't imagine Ron DeSantis winning out in the nomination over Trump.

It almost feels destined for him to come back and do a late second term lol. Imagine the unrelenting cess pit this country will become during and in the election leading up to Trump round 2?

Iah it's probably a toss up between trump and biden but the idea of it being anyone else feels pretty counter intuitive to me at this point.

Man, and here I was thinking I could count you in as a supporter of a Trump v. Hillary rematch.

If Hillary managed to somehow cuck Joe Biden out of the Democratic nomination that seems like a perfect backstory for Trump round 2 actually. I would completely be on board with that.

If the R's didn't let Trump run again and give their seal of approval, and he ran as an independent instead, the Dems would win the election by default - 60% of R's would vote for Trump, if not more.

How can they stop him from running as a Republican?

They can't. They can only find a way to find someone that could beat him. Somehow I don't think Ron DeSantis is the answer.

I guess my thought was that the RNC could make it more difficult for Trump to win the nomination if that's the position they chose, but again, if Trump remains as popular as he is with the GOP base, it would seem to be an unwise thing to do.
