I'm leaning towards North Dakota having never been to any of the states myself. Been watching the series Fargo though.

The Batlord 06-12-2021 12:16 PM

Wasn't Indiana openly governed by the KKK in the 20s or something? Also it has Yorke Daddy. **** Indiana.

Marie Monday 06-12-2021 12:18 PM

I've been told that everyone hates ohio for some reason, is this true?
Someday hopefully I will explore the midwest and the rest of america

Psy-Fi 06-12-2021 12:23 PM

I've been to most of them except for Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and North Dakota.

South Dakota was by far the bleakest and most boring looking wasteland out of all the ones I've visited.

Like the geography nerd I am I've seen the extensive internet debates people can have about that, just know what you're unleasing here

Mindy 06-12-2021 01:18 PM

I never lived there, so if we going off of where you lived before, Minnesota winter sucked a lot.

I found the map on which my faint knowledge of distinct american reginos is based. No idea if it's accurate

it's not a debate. She's just wrong.

Plankton 06-14-2021 11:22 AM

Indiana's pretty ****ed up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAsPZRWvPwg

...and trying to get to eastern Michigan from Illinois via 80/94, it's usually a parking lot by Gary and Portage. Their infrastructure/roads are horrendous, but I gotta say they do have some great disc golf courses.

I haven't been to the Dakota's since I was a kid, but I've been to all of these. Ohio is probably a close 2nd to Indy. You can smell it before you pass the state line.

Best state = Iowa :)

Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, & Davenport. All amazing cities.

All 99 counties are awesome!

My friend who moved there from the south side of Chicago seems to be a lot happier these days.

You’re all wrong. ALL OF YOU. Only the farthest western edge of the state even has mountains, the rest might as well be Nebraska.

Plankton 06-14-2021 01:48 PM

Wyoming also controls the mail.

It's the West. It's probably got guys on horseback shooting Indians as we speak.

I would just like to thank you for letting me live in your head rent-free all these years, it has been a privilege.

1. This map does not include Conn. in New England. Looks legit to me.
2. Wyoming to this Northeasterner has never been the Midwest.

I voted for Ohio.

Edit: Wtf is mixed forest?

Tristan_Geoff 08-11-2021 11:12 PM

My favorite state is the state of survival and adaptivity that early humans faced in the wilderneeses of everywhere basically

Forest with both leafy and needly trees (idk the technical terms), I suppose.

it looks like it includes eastern conn in new England while the other side is grouped in with the mid Atlantic... Which in reality nyc tri state isn't mid Atlantic to me... Mid Atlantic is like dc to philly imo

Also... The regions listed as southeast, Appalachian and south could be merged into just "the south" as far as I'm concerned.

Actually, I love Ohio. I considered moving to Columbus when I was in my twenties.

I voted for Indiana. Any state that can vote for Mike Pence can't be very cool.

That's fair. Everything west of the Connecticut River is New York.

But it's a region?

Marie Monday 08-15-2021 02:04 AM

A foresty region?

Plankton 08-16-2021 04:54 AM

Almost certain that's a Forrest Gump region.

Well, my favorite state is the state of confusion.

I'm saying Illinois, for only one reason - O'Haire airport. It's probably paradise compared to Pearson right now, but I've lost my bags every time I went through Chicago.

The Blackhawks are fine, though they will suck for another decade now (tanking should not be allowed!). I don't hate the other teams either.

The people are nice. It's just too bad they have to land there.
