I went to public schools just like everyone else. Never got beaten up. Actually, I moved schools when I had just started high school, and since I was the new kid, some kid decided he was going to give me shit. I thought about the situation and all its ramifications in about half a second and decided to just punch him once really hard in the face, because if I didn't, I would get nothing but shit from him and his mates for four years.

It wasn't a fight. Just a message. And he got it, and went on his way. There was a teacher standing in the hall nearby but hadn't seen what happened, and I guess the dude didn't want to get suspended.
