I thought this was going to be about people who eat menstrual blood. I heard that was a thing somewhere but this is by far stranger.

This isn't something new, in the late 18th century Europeans would make tea from remains of mummies for practically the same reasons.

The red fluid is sewage water that seeped into the sasarcophagus. I wonder if they could get sick from drinking it. Maybe contract some rare disease and cause a pandemic.

Sarcophagus tea has probably wiped out an ancient civilization or two
