That, I have to say, is a **** hint. The hint should be something that will point you towards the song but something you can't or wouldn't think to ask. Like, if it had been "Coal Miner's Daughter", which it isn't, hint could be "takes place underground" or something. Give us a chance.

Okay let's see if we can wrap this up. It's a country-western song by an American female artist in 1968 but it isn't Stand By Your Man.
Two hints: 1) It was basically from a one hit wonder and... 2) A TV movie was made based on the song. |

The TV movie was a decade later starring Barbara Eden. Of course it's horrible as all movies that try to stretch out a song are. Okay, Plankton, so you're up (and you can come back, Trolls ). |

I remember both. The song was pretty horrid, but the movie ruined my image of Genie forever.
I have my song, it's 20th century, which should narrow things down a bit for ya's.
