Credit for this idea goes equally to YorkeDaddy (so if you're lurking out there somewhere bud, fuming I stole yer idea, I didn't: I'm admitting this is based on your journal) and Ori, for his Frownfiction. The idea is that we create a story based on ourselves, with each member adding a new bit each time. Now, I know you all love rules, so here they are.
1. Each member can only add one new character to the story initially. Obviously I don't mean a typographical character; I'm talking about introducing a new member of the cast, as it were. That can be you, or not, as you prefer (assuming someone has not already added you). 2. However, once new members are added, the next member posting can use any or all of them in his or her post(s). 3. The story should follow some basic progression, though you can if you want spread the action - "Meanwhile, back in his studio, Frownland was interviewing session players" or "Halfway across the world, Chula was happily preparing gumbo". 4. If something is established in the story, try to stick to that. In other words, if someone says Batty is afraid of heights, don't have him later climb a clock tower with a high-powered rifle in search of poseurs to shoot. At the very least, if you must do this, point out what a big deal it is for him to overcome his fear of heights. 5. Max of three lines per character per post, so if there are six characters established you have a max of 18 lines you can post, though there's nothing to say how long those lines can be. 6. Yes you can use magic. 7. You can kill anyone off if you like, but the next poster can bring them back if they so wish. 8. No double posting. Wait till at least one other person has posted before you try again. Interested? Let's go.
