Which Piece of Art is More Expensive?
New round:
Exhibit A: https://img0.etsystatic.com/126/0/90...86130_8sw9.jpg Exhibit B: https://d7hftxdivxxvm.cloudfront.net...100&quality=95 I'll be updating the poll periodically with more pieces of art once the cheaper one is decided. No cheating. Spoiler for Past Rounds:

I'm going to assume B since in my opinion it looks like it would worth less and I have absolutely no knowledge on the subject.

Exhibit A looks origami paper, while Exhibit B looks like a shoulder pad laying on concrete. Not the football kind, but the kind of shoulder pad that is used in clothing. It's made with a sponge cover (the yellow part) in light material (white part), usually a semi-circle shape. If you had to buy them I think the shoulder pad would be more expensive, like if you factor in the cost of one slice of origami paper then it's really cheap for one slice, but since the should pad looks like it's been discarded I guess the origami paper would be more expensive because like who can buy just one piece of origami paper? So I guess you would have to buy a whole box of origami paper and that can be kinda expensive.
So I will go with Exhibit A being more expensive. |
After googling both pieces, holy fuck...
|
I know nothing about the pieces, but I'm going with A.
B looks like a cooked egg to me, sunny-side up. |

I'll be updating the art and revealing the answer tomorrow evening for people to get their votes in.

Voting A

I'm going to guess B as more expensive, based on my preconceptions about the snootiness of the art world:-
Exhibit A: This has a vertical line down the middle that makes it look like it folds out. If it is really made of folded paper, it scores badly because origami is a handcraft, rather than High Art. If it's not folded paper, it's a trompe l'oeil instead of being purely abstract and would score badly for that reason too. Exhibit B: An ambiguous, abstract image which has some texture and detail without being fussy. It's the kind of thing executives choose to decorate their offices, so I'm voting for that. |
