Nah. All it takes is a little twirl with my fingers after I get out of the shower. You don't have to wax a moustache for it to grow long.

I imagine that Big Wax is responsible for your belief that moustaches can be anything but droopy without beard wax. Don't belief their lies! You're right, I did curl it a little bit. With my fingers. I get the feeling that your memory has created a caricature of me from the five or so pictures you saw of me from that time period.

Also I've given the thread a little more consideration. Malt liquor and piss water beer are pretty much just as bad flat as they are in their "prime", so I could see why you don't care.
