Thought I'd make a thread for all those random words of advice that might have saved you pain or embarrassment if only you'd known.

Like I wish someone had told me that long haired cats get crap stuck in their fur and smudge it all over the floor trying to get it out.

Buy a can opener before you buy cans or you'll slice open your finger trying to open a tuna can with a screwdriver and your wound will become infected. Every. Single. Time.

We have those too, depends on the brand. My current tuna tins do not have ring pulls.

I wish someone had told me my long haired cat did not have a leaf stuck to her stomach fur but **** which may not even be hers, as she likes to go to the bathroom after someone's taken/taking a **** to smell it.
