^+1000 awesome points. Unfortunately, Throbbing Gristle is hipster bait. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you're a hipster.

Being a hipster is not a litmus test kind of thing. It's a preponderance of evidence. Liking Death Grips is one piece of circumstantial evidence. Shopping at thrift stores, wearing ironic sunglasses, and hanging out with that ginger dude with the hat in Exo's pic are all circumstantial evidence.
So to become a true hipster, I have to go shopping with my friend after buying him some nifty hat on a bright and sunny day and locate a Death Grips vinyl record at a thrift store. Seems like the easiest route.
Have you even heard Death Grips, Baltard? I figured some of their stuff would be to your liking tbh. I almost recommended them to you in that thread you lazed out on but then that realization hit me.

I think Zs should be the go-to band to call people here hipster.
Most of the fans of experimental stuff here seem to like them.
Now just look at those ****ers:
Holy **** I just realized this too. HOW HAVE I NOT NOTICED THIS

Zs are hipster gold. Have you heard Diamond Terrifier, grindy? It's Sam Hillmer's solo project. Not too crazy about some of his stuff, but I like his debut 'Kill the Self That Wants to Kill Yourself' better than most of Zs records.

True.
Except for the hanging out with hipsters part.
What if you've been friends with someone since childhood. Do you abandon him, because he became hipster at some point?
I guess you'll say: Yeah. Duh.
But that's cold, man.
The fact that you're compatible with a hipster is the evidence, not that you happen to be in proximity. Even if you stopped hanging out with them (no matter what the reason), the sheer fact that you were capable of being friends with somebody with the "hipster gene" in the first place makes you suspect.

But do you like Death Grips?

Great, now I'm concerned and will have to look up everyone I was close to on Facebook to search for signs of hipsterism. Thanks a lot.

I have, just not much. I do remember digging them though. That video kind of bored me TBH. I appreciate that they're not sticking with a standard hip hop formula, but the end product doesn't really do anything for me on a first listen.

That just one of the benefit of not having any friends.
